Kids Knitting (ages 8-12)

Level: Beginner.

Put down that slime and those fidget spinners and learn how to knit with those fidgety fingers! Knitting is a fun, portable and productive activity for adults AND kids. In just a few short hours, you WILL become a knitter! You will learn how to turn a colorful ball of yarn into anything you can imagine. In the first class, you will learn how to cast on (begin your project by getting the stitches onto the needle), and the knit stitch. In the next class, you will continue to practice the knit stitch, and learn about fixing the most common beginner mistakes, and how to bind off (end a project). 

Materials required: Approx. 220 yards of worsted weight yarn, knitting needles, darning needle.
